The Intellectual Property Office previously announced the "Draft Amendments to Certain Provisions of the Patent Act (Second Draft)" on March 21, 2025 (Year 114 of the ROC calendar), followed by a public hearing on April 17, 2025. We sincerely thank all sectors for their valuable suggestions. After careful deliberation, we have fully considered and revised the draft accordingly.

In response to the external comments received during the public notice period for the Second Draft, the Office has compiled a document titled “Review and Response to External Comments on the Draft Amendments to Certain Provisions of the Patent Act (Second Draft)”, which is available in the attachment for public reference.
